Sleeping For Sorrow

Album Description

Everything that was, everything that is, and everything that will be is the handy work of God. From your body to your ancient dino soul. Your life is a reflection of what your heart and spirit have called for. Ain’t you want it? Here you go.

Those who have been willing to labor in the dark, away from screens and eyes—doing it for God—have a light of their own. Those who missed the mark, didn’t try, and didn’t know will meet death by pain in the end.

Welcome to my 13th album, "Sleeping For Sorrow." A dedication to the memory of when the King of Righteousness was accompanied as he cried to the Father, but his company could not stay awake to witness it out of sorrow.

Only the Righteous can understand the allegory: Our people are sleeping for sorrow. They’ve met dead ends; they have become damaged goods. When will we open our minds again? Cast off the spirit of the bastard child. Stop taking our own people’s lives. Stop faking and pretending to be like our oppressors. Philosophy 101: “You got fetishes stuck in your mind. Cruel concepts of what you thought really was life. Why is that? ‘Cause the world is what you want. But it ain’t really yours and your soul haunts”

For my people, this world is detention until the Lord returns. Some of you would rather get suspended or expelled than to do the work in detention. You are the ones sleeping for sorrow—giving in and giving up.

I hope you enjoy “Sleeping For Sorrow.”
